Paint Matching a used Type R Spoiler to my Civic
In today's episode, I restored a weathered and used ctr spoiler. Plasti dip removal, sanding, priming, base, and clear. Also had to repair the mounting points. Overall came out pretty well. A little orange peel, thinking about upgrading my sprayer if I decide to do more painting in the future.

Spraying Epoxy Primer & Single Stage Paint - Hempel Paint
Переглядів 4,6 тис.3 роки тому
In this last episode of the camper paint series, I managed to prime and paint the camper. Though the process did cause some issues as my tools were not functioning properly. Therefore I delt with some runs in the paint. But luckily it was the first coat of color where I had to sand either way. The 2nd coat of color when down beautifully. After some assistance from my brother, I managed to get t...
The BEST DIY Spray Paint Booth! Only 28 Screws!
Переглядів 7 тис.3 роки тому
With the recent amount of rain in my area, I have been delayed on working on the camper. But with the working days, I've managed to completely sand the project with the help of my brother. We constructed an insanely cheap, wobbly DIY spray paint booth as well. Nothing pretty but it will get the job done. Hopefully in the next day or so I can finally get this thing epoxy primed and painted. This...

New Valex Brake Lines & Completing Checklist for Safety Inspection
Переглядів 4,2 тис.4 роки тому
This week's episode I completed the installation of my new valex racing brake lines. Super easy installation. Although I would have hoped the lines to the rear would be a good foot longer to allow for better management instead of a more direct path to the proportioning valve. Either way, it works just fine. I washed the car for the first time. Easily 2 years. I polished it and did a few additio...
Easy DIY Hood Repair and Paint Job - Amazing Results
Переглядів 97 тис.4 роки тому
This week's episode I revive a 20 plus-year-old Honda Civic Hood. This Easy DIY Hood Repair and Paint Job can be achieved by anyone with the determination to turn a terrible looking hood to a good and clean looking car hood. My previous hood was in rough shape, rust damage, and rot throughout that it was better for me to outsource one locally, which I did for just $50 dollars. I started by dry ...

Prop Valve & Battery Relocation H22 Civic
Переглядів 4,9 тис.4 роки тому
Hope everyone is safe and healthy. In today's episode, I work on a list of tasks to get this H22 Civic closer to being on the road. Primarily the 2 main things of focus on this episode are the battery and proportioning valve relocation. First the battery relocation for the Civic. I started by purchasing a 1 gauge 15' welding wire, along with some terminal connections and copper crimp fittings. ...
RSX Seat Swap in EK Civic
Переглядів 18 тис.4 роки тому
In today's episode, I go into depth on how I swapped my recently purchased but used RSX seats into my EK civic. I have searched enough online to find some rather unprofessional modifications to get the RSX seats to work inside a civic. This is my idea and my design to something which I think looks a lot cleaner, is stronger and also is designed to hide underneath the carpet once it is reinstall...
Fast Idle Repair, DIY Rywire Harness, Cold Air Intake Install

Since the last episode, I managed to complete a few tasks that were holding me up from progressing to reinstalling the interior of the car. After a good clean and rebolting it to the car I noticed a huge improveme...
First Start for the H22 Civic?

The moment we all have been waiting for, will the H22A civic start for the first time? After completing the wire harness modification from the prelude engine to accommodate the civic old harness, I hooked up all the connectors and sensors and ran some diagnostic tests to see if I was throwing any codes. I did have one which I managed to fix. I filled the H22A with there necessary fluids, oil, t...

Custom EK Civic Exhaust - Ebay & Skunk2 Racing

I go over the whole fabrication work behind the ebay slash skunk2 combined exhaust system. I had the hardest time finding a y pipe for the h22 as most junkyard cut and removed this piece and threw it out. So i searched online found some cheapo headers that i wouldnt care if i had to cut and modify so i replaced the 1.5 inch tubing with some 2.5 inch stainless steel. The system from the front to...

TOP TIP for your shed, buy a LARGE polythene dust sheet and staple it to the walls and roof. You will stop ALL the dust and bugs then. Spray the shed floor with creosote two or more times. Any dust will stick to it, AND the floor won't rot. Bare metal with 80 grit, etch primer, epoxy primer, 240 grit. Filler, 400 grit, dolphin glaze, 600 grit, high build, 600 grit (WET), wash, high build mixed as sealer, 800 grit, base, 1000 to remove knibs, more base, 3 to 4 coats of clear then leave in the sun for a week or low bake. Cut, polish. DONE. THAT is how I did my bonnet. The finish is like glass and VERY chip and corrosion resistant.

I have the Chicago Electric MIG 170... I'm not even sure they even make that model anymore, because I never see it in the store anymore, anyways, it works awesome & I'm glad I bought it when I did...the reason I didn't go for the cheaper flux core machine wasn't because I didn't think it would weld sheet metal, there's no doubt that it will, the problem, for me at least, is that the flux core can contaminate the weld & cause paint to fisheye...it doesn't happen all the time, but just the possibility of it makes me want to use the gas shielded MIG over the flux core...of course, if you aren't doing anything other than one or two patches, or maybe something structural, then, of course you want to go the cheapest way possible, certainly nothing wrong with that, but I wanted a bit more versatile welder, & for more than just one project, without having to pay over $500+ for it...

Great job on welding but how you gonna protect that metal under your weld from rust? Your paint will not cover the bare metal that you bended before welding. Now rust will start forming inside where is metal on metal, and eventually it will come out on the outside under your paint. Any idea how to solve this problem?
